Dah Lih Model MCV-1450 CNC VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER

Featuring:

  • Headstock casting is of box type construction, providing maximum rigidity which ensures stable heavy machining.
  • Fanuc AC motor is mounted directly on the spindle. A wide range of spindle speed enables heavy cutting at either high or low speeds.
  • Spindle head is equipped with hydraulic counter balancing which allows the Z axis to travel smoothly, thus reducing wear on ball screws while maintaining the machine's accuracy.
  • Machine is equipped with a "Long Nose Spindle" design for easier fixturing and spindle/workpiece clearance, providing more efficiency and accuracy while cutting complicated configurations.
  • Distance between center of spindle and center of column is longer thann cross travel to allow full machining of cross travel
  • The machine bed has been designed using Finite Elements to ensure high rigidity.
  • ”Turcite B" coated slideways are induction hardened and precision ground to ensure high speed and high accuracy positioning without sticking motions.
  • Extra high precision, large diameter ball screws for each axis are located at the center of the slideways and coupled directly to AC motors to eliminate cutting resistance.
  • All 3 axes ball screws are mounted with servo motor on one side and support on the other to ensure no vibration during ball screw rotation.
  • Automatic centralized lubrication system is standard which provides intermittent lubrication to all slideways.
  • A slanted telescopic metal cover is equipped as standard between the back of the saddle and the lower part of head to protect the vertical ways.
  • Metal covers are installed on both side of the table and the crossfeed ball screw to protect them from chips and coolant.
  • The saddle for the Y axis has 4 slides for maximum rigidity and support
  • The front of the bed is designed to allow the operator to approach the spindle
  • Screw type chip conveyor is standard
  • Spindle, spindle shaft and gears are made of CR-MO alloy steel which are sufficently carbonized and precisionly ground.
  • Large diameter spindle (5") is fitted with high precision class P4 (ABEC - class 7 in USA) preloaded angular contact ball bearings.
  • Spindle transmission are all gear driven with a high-low speed range to allow heavy milling and soft material high speed machining.
  • Automatic lubrication system is fitted in gear box to give continous lubrication to all gears.
  • Side mount auotmatic toolchanger with double arm type is hydraulically. The tool magazine rotates to the next tool position while the machine is machining (TOOL WAITING) thus shortening the tool changing time.
  • Tool magazine holds 32 CAT50 tools.
  • Tools can be removed from the tool pot easily and quickly by means of manual or automatic functions.
  • "Spindle RPM Meter" and "Spindle Load Meter" are installed on the operator panel for spindle speed and cutting load display during machining.
  • The pendant can be easily rotated for comfortable operating position and eliminates operator fatigue.
