To lean more, Click here.           FORTUNE VICTOR MODEL Vturn36/125LSB BIG BORE CNC LATHE Featuring: The Vturn-36LSB is one of the largest sized CNC lathe in Fortune’s Vturn range. The Vturn-36 is a rugged and very rigid lathe build for the heavy cutting of hardened steels. The Large Spindle Bore (LSB) with 6.3” bar cap. adds extra versatility. The slant bed design with torque tube, box ways and rigid spindle has been designed with the most up to date computer aided design and analysis techniques so as any faults have been eradicated on the drawing board rather than on your shop floor. Heavy Duty Meehanite cast machine bed for excellent damping properties. Nodular grey cast iron, cast and annealed to the exact specifications laid out in the Meehanite process. Hardened and ground box ways are a standard feature on all Fortune’s Vturn lathes. The box ways are induction hardened to over 55HRC and finely ground. Box slideways have a high dynamic stiffness because of their high static stiffness and high damping so good surface finish and long service life is achieved. The Large Bore Spindle is designed with a mix of both heavy duty roller bearings as well as angular thrust bearings. The roller bearings help absorb the high radial loads during heavy cutting while the angular thrust bearings improve axial loads in drilling and boring. Two speed gear box is a feature of the Vturn 36 series. The powerful spindle motor coupled with the gear box is balanced to provide enhanced machining performance for heavy duty cutting at low RPM. Direct coupled servomotors to eliminate backlash. Double anchored ballscrews that are pretensioned during machine assemble improve machining accuracy by minimizing the effects of thermal growth. Fast indexing tool turret and tool discs are manufactured at Fortune Victor to control the consistency of the product produced. The curvic coupling design gives greater positioning accuracy while the hydraulic clamping makes this randomly selecting bi-directional turret ideal for heavy cutting. Fully programmable tailstock is another standard on Vturn lathes. The tailstock body and quill are both fully programmable. The tailstock body is mounted on box ways to ensure maximum rigidity when subjected to heavy cutting and is automatically clamped to the machine bed when the final position is reached. Forced lubrication is supplied to all slideways and moving members. Lubrication channels are milled into the underside of the carriage ways and turret to allow oil to be constantly forced between the moving members for added machine life. The lubricant is controlled through a pressured system and any leaks or pressure drop will result in an alarm being displayed on the controller. Built in quill bearing is standard on the tailstock This is better for the clamping of heavier workpieces as it provides better rigidity and stability while dead centers are less expensive to replace than live centers.
